Redmi 10X has been in the news lately, with some specifications and alleged images of the smartphone surfacing online over the last few weeks. This was shortly after the company’s General Manager Lu Weibing teased on Weibo that Redmi has a new surprise for fans in China in the month of May. Now, ahead of any official announcement on the matter, we have learnt a few key Redmi 10X specifications and colour options from the ever-reliable Ishan Agarwal. The tipster also says there is a Redmi 10X Pro model in the works, which is the first time we are hearing of a second 10X smartphone.

Redmi 10X specifications and colour options
Starting with the Redmi 10X, the smartphone will be launched in 4G and 5G variants. The 4G-only option will come in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB configurations and in White, Sky Blue, and Green colours. Then there’s the Redmi 10X 5G smartphone, which will be offered in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB variants. This model will be up for grabs in Dark Blue, Violet, Gold, and Silver hues.

To recall, the Redmi 10X surfaced online for the first time late last month when it was listed on a Chinese e-commerce website. The Redmi 10X specifications mentioned in the listing included 6.53-inch punch-hole display with 1,080×2,340 pixels resolution, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad-camera setup, 13MP selfie sensor, 5,020mAh battery. The listing also mentions the smartphone will come with 4G LTE support, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. A Google Play Console listing then showed the smartphone will be powered by the 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio G70 chipset and Android 10, which was later reiterated by a Geekbench listing.

Assuming the listing is indeed accurate and no 5G support is mentioned in it, the smartphone could be the 4G-only model. The listing also mentions the Redmi 10X 4G price will be RMB 1,499 (about Rs 16,000), but this could just be a placeholder price tag and not the actual cost of the smartphone. There is no word yet regarding what the 5G variant of the Redmi 10X will bring to the table apart from more RAM for the base variant and faster mobile data connectivity.
Redmi 10X Pro 5G specifications and colour options
As mentioned earlier, this is the first time we are learning of the Redmi 10X Pro. This will also be a 5G smartphone, but most other specifications of the handset are unknown at the moment. Nonetheless, we can confirm that this model will launch in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations and will be sold in Dark Blue, Violet, Gold, and Silver/ White colours.
