Redmi 12 5G, Redmi 12 4G, Redmi Watch 3 Active, and Xiaomi TV X series are all set to launch in India on August 1st. Here's what we know about them.

Redmi is all set to unveil its Redmi 12 series of smartphones. The brand is promising a "5G revolution" with the launch of its Redmi 12 5G. The phone will be accompanied by the Redmi 12 4G version as well. A couple of ecosystem product lines are also expected to be launched at this Redmi event, including the Redmi Watch 3 Active and the Xiaomi TV X series.

Redmi 12 series launch date in India

The new Redmi 12 will come in two models with the difference being 4G and 5G connectivity. The brand is holding an event in New Delhi on August 1st. The 4G variant of the phone was launched in global markets earlier with the Mediatek Helio G88 processor.

The Redmi 12 5G, on the other hand, is having its global debut in the Indian market. Redmi has confirmed a Snapdragon chipset for this device. The device was spotted on Geekbench with a 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, and so far, the only difference between the 4G and 5G devices seems to be the processor.

Based on previous leaks, we expect the Redmi 12 4G and Redmi 12 5G to be priced competitively in the Indian market. Redmi 12 4G will be available in 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB variants and could start at Rs 9,999. On the other hand, the Redmi 12 5G will be available in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants and could start at Rs 13,999.

A series of tweets by Xiaomi India's official handle has confirmed the launch of a new budget smartwatch and an update to Xiaomi's TV series in India. The Redmi Watch 3 Active is expected to receive the same specifications as its global model and come in 2 colour variants. The smartwatch is expected to be priced under Rs 5,000 in India based on pricing in overseas markets.

The brand has been releasing teaser posters for the Xiaomi TV X series with the tagline "Big is Back." We are yet to decode what exactly it means. The new TVs are confirmed to feature a premium bezel-less metal design, Google TV software, and a 4K Dolby Vision display. The product range is expected to be priced similarly to its predecessor which launched last year.
