Samsung Galaxy A20s with 6.5-inch display and triple-rear cameras launched

Samsung has officially announced the new Galaxy A20s budget smartphone. The South Korean giant used an infographic to announce the new phone, listing down all the specifications of the Galaxy A20s as well as the colour variants. It does not, however, reveal the pricing and the availability of the smartphone. Samsung Galaxy A20s comes with a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display with a HD+ resolution, as expected. The smartphone also offers a triple-rear camera setup and a 4,000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy A20s specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A20s features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a V-shaped notch at the top. It is a small upgrade over the Galaxy A20, which featured a 6.4-inch display. However, Samsung has used an LCD panel on the new device, whereas the predecessor came with an AMOLED panel. Samsung’s infographic hasn’t specified the processor, but only states that it is an octa-core unit clocked at 1.8GHz. A leaked image from last week revealed that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 450 chipset, which is also a downgrade from the Galaxy A20. The Snapdragon 450 is an octa-core chipset that’s clocked at 1.8GHz, which means that the Galaxy A20s is probably equipped with it.

Samsung Galaxy A20s gets a triple rear camera setup, which consists of a 13-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth unit. The primary sensor has an f/1.8 aperture. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel camera housed within the notch. An oval-shaped fingerprint scanner is also available at the back. The phone will be available in two configurations offering 3GB RAM/32GB storage, and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. A microSD card slot is available for adding more storage. Samsung has included a 4,000mAh battery on the device, which supports 15W fast charging. The device will be available in four colour options – Blue, Black, Green, and Red.
