Samsung has a few surprises in store before it bids adieu to 2019. 91mobiles has learnt from a person familiar with Samsung India's strategic plans that the company is gearing up to round off the year with the launch of three smartphones - Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy Note 10 Lite, and Galaxy A51 - in December. This is against previous reports, which suggested that the Galaxy S10 Lite won't be launched in India at all and that the Galaxy A51 will break cover next year.
The launch of the new handsets in the flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series this late in the year (and this close to the launch of Galaxy S11) is indeed surprising. But we have seen the company implement a major strategy shift in 2019, with the brand introducing the new Galaxy M series lineup and overhauling the Galaxy A series to take on the likes of Chinese OEMs in the affordable and mid-range segments. Apart from this, it even rolled out as many as four smartphones in its Galaxy S10 series and two flagship Note 10 models, which is a first for the brand.

Just a few hours ago, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite surfaced on the website of FCC in the US. The handset was listed with model number SM-G770F, revealing connectivity details such as LTE Cat. 14 download speeds, 3xCA maximum, and no 4×4 MIMO. The FCC listing also verifies the Galaxy S10 Lite display measures 170mm diagonally, meaning a screen size of 6.69-inch. This is slightly bigger than the current affordable offering in the Galaxy S10 lineup – S10e, which packs a 5.8-inch screen. Other details mentioned in the FCC listing are 45W fast-charging support, 75mm width, and microSD card support.
Coming to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite specifications, popular tipster Ishan Aggarwal tweeted that the Galaxy S10 Lite is "confirmed" to ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and 48-megapixel triple rear cameras, which will be aided by 5-megapixel depth-sensing unit and 12-megapixel wide-angle lens. The front camera of the phone is said to feature a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
As for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, it first cropped up in the rumour mill about a month ago. It was reported to be in development as a new Galaxy Note series handset, and said to be be more affordable compared to the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. While the specifications of the phone are unknown at the moment, it's said to come with model number SM-N770F.
Last in the list is Samsung Galaxy A51, which has been all over the news. The handset has been the subject to a number of leaks and rumours. It has popped up on FCC as well as Wi-Fi Alliance, and its design has been revealed via CAD-based renders. We have exclusively reported about its mass production commencing in India and revealed its design with images of the internals.
Samsung Galaxy A51 specifications have been leaked too. It is believed to come with a punch-hole display, quad-camera setup at the back, and curved edge design. The phone expected to sport a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display and be powered by the Exynos 9611 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB storage. In terms of optics, the Galaxy A51 packs a 48MP primary sensor aided by a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom and a 5MP depth sensor. The handset packs a 32MP snapper in the waterdrop notch on the front. Other features include 4,000mAh battery and Android 10 out of the box.
