- The handset is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000 for the base variant
Samsung Galaxy M31s is scheduled to debut on July 30th and will be available via Amazon.in starting with the Prime Day sale. The teaser images so far revealed it would ship with a punch-hole design, square-camera module at the back, and it could be the first M-series phone to possibly have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Now, ahead of the launch, noted leaker Ishan Agarwal has tipped key specifications of the handset, including the camera details, display size, colour, and RAM/storage variants. The Galaxy M31s will succeed the Galaxy M31 smartphone that debuted in India earlier this year.
Samsung Galaxy M31s specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M31s is tipped to sport a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with 407ppi pixel density. It is said to be powered by the Exynos 9611 SoC and comes in two models: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB storage that should be further expandable via microSD card. The leakster has also revealed the optic details, which include a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 and a 5MP macro lens with f/2.4. For selfies, it is said to rock a 32MP snapper on the front. Lastly, a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support is said to fuel the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy M31s is likely to boot Android 10 OS with OneUI custom skin overlaid on top. Connectivity features could include 4G LTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and GPS. Thanks to the punch-hole design, the handset seems to have slim bezels on all corners. The expected price is below Rs 20,000 but we should know more details going forward.
