Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, Galaxy M15 5G India launch date revealed

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, and Galaxy M15 5G will launch in India on April 8th. The launch event is scheduled to take place at 12 PM.
The new Samsung phones are also confirmed to go on sale via Amazon India. Dedicated pages for both devices have gone live as well.
In addition to the launch date, Samsung has also teased key features about the Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G although both phones have already debuted.

Ahead of the launch, the Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G India prices leaked online. The Galaxy M55 5G is tipped to start at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB + 128GB base model. It is said to come in two more variants of 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999, respectively.

The Galaxy M15 5G will reportedly cost Rs 13,499 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, and Rs 14,999 for another variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G specifications

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. Under its hood runs the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The smartphone sports a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, you get a 50MP front camera.

The Galaxy M55 5G also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The Indian variant is getting 45W fast charging, the same as the flagship Galaxy S24 series. On the software front, it runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 layered on top. Samsung Galaxy M55 5G comes in two colour options: Light Green and Black.

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G specifications

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC paired with Mali-G57 MC2 for graphics. The chipset is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card.

The phone has a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 13MP unit on the front for selfies and video chats. On the software front, it runs on Android 14-based One UI. Samsung has also promised four years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates for the Galaxy M15 5G.

The smartphone also packs a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It comes in three colour options: Celestine Blue, Stone Grey, and Blue Topaz.
