Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Pro BIS details
- 91mobiles has spotted the Galaxy Watch 7 Pro on BIS. Not the smartwatch but its battery, which carries the model number EB-705ABY.
- The same model number is associated with the Galaxy Watch 7 Pro’s battery. This suggests that the smartwatch is in the works and it will launch in India.
- The Galaxy Watch 7 Pro is expected to pack a 578mAh battery, which could be advertised as a 600mAh battery, according to a previous report by Galaxy Club.
- This would also make it the biggest battery on a Wear OS smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch 7 series is expected to run Wear OS 5, the latest version that will most likely launch this year.
Galaxy Watch 7 US version spotted on Bluetooth SIG
- We’ve also spotted the Galaxy Watch 7 US version with the model number SM-L305U on the Bluetooth SIG website.
- This model, in particular, is the eSIM version of the Galaxy Watch 7 according to a report by SamMobile. The Wi-Fi-only variant of the Galaxy Watch 7 has the model number SM-L300.
The Galaxy Watch 7 series is expected to feature a new 3nm chip, which is said to offer a 50 percent increase in power efficiency over the Galaxy Watch 6. Samsung is also tipped to increase the Galaxy Watch 7’s storage capacity to 32GB. The new Samsung smartwatch lineup could feature a Galaxy Watch 7 Classic, a Galaxy Watch 7 Pro, and a “new” version. There would be Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + eSIM variants of the new smartwatches.
There are even rumours about an affordable Galaxy Watch dubbed ‘Galaxy Watch FE’ or ‘Galaxy Watch 4 (2024)’. This could be the “new” Galaxy Watch that’s rumoured to launch this year.
Samsung usually launches its new smartwatches in August alongside its new foldable. But this year, rumours suggest an early launch falling around the second week of July. This is where the new Samsung foldable and the smartwatches are expected to debut.
