- The One UI 5.0 is expected to roll out to many flagship devices as well as some mid-range devices from the company
Samsung is soon going to roll out its new One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 mobile OS for some of its devices. The Korean smartphone maker has already rolled out the beta version of the same for its Members. The public version is expected to roll out later. However, a list of some popular Samsung smartphones has now come in which will get the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 earlier than others.
The Android 13 was launched earlier at the Google I/O 2022 event and brings in refinement to Android 12 from last year. Get an overview here.
Samsung Android 13
It has now been learned, courtesy SamMobile, that the Korean tech giant is going to roll out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 custom skin soon on a number of devices this year. Samsung is likely to furnish its latest flagships with the latest software first and hence the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S22 series, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Fold4, and the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Flip4 are likely to get the update sooner than others.
Surprisingly enough, Samsung is willing to extend this new update to many other devices, including popular devices from the mid-range lineup. Reports suggest that the non-flagship Galaxy A5X series users can expect to receive the One UI 5.0 update before 2023. The Galaxy A53, with promised four years of software update, holds the most priority in Samsung’s Galaxy A5X midrange offerings. It also happens to be the only A5X series device which can expect the Android 13 update.
However, it is likely that Samsung will add more devices to the wait list for the new One UI 5.0 based on Android 13.
