Bethesda has shared a new trailer for Starfield that reveals its September 6 release date. The publisher has also revealed that Starfield Direct will take place on June 11, right after the Xbox Game Showcase on the same day. This showcase will now take place on the weekend between this year’s Summer Game Fest and E3. In the announcement video, Bethesda game director and executive producer Todd Howard said, “From myself and everybody here at Bethesda, we are so excited to finally tell you when Starfield is coming out this year. We have poured ourselves into this game and even I’m surprised how much we can pour, it is large.” Howard added, “This June we’re going to bring you into the studio, and give you a deep dive into the game at our Starfield Direct. There’s so much that we still have to show you.”

The first Starfield gameplay was presented last June during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. The game was originally supposed to launch on November 11, 2022, but it got delayed to the first half of 2023 back in May. Hopefully, Starfield will not be delayed again and release on September 6, 2023. The game was most likely delayed to improve performance and gameplay experience on all platforms.
