The latest smartphone from Huawei's sub-brand Honor is also one of its most fascinating offerings. The Honor 8 Pro is treated with the fouth-gen dual camera magic from the company's stable, as it comes equipped with two 12MP snappers at the back – one RGB and one monochrome. This setup results in brighter and sharper images, while also giving you the option to shoot black and white images directly. Meanwhile, the phase detection and laser detection autofocus make sure you lock onto your subject in a jiffy. Honor has also included a ton of modes, including one that pushes the aperture all the way up to f/0.95, making for an excellent depth of field. There's also an 8MP selfie shooter for the selfie lovers. Not to mention the Honor 8 Pro is a fully-loaded device with its 5.7-inch quad-HD display, HiSilicon 960 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage and a large 4,000mAh battery.
The F3 Plus from OPPO is another one of those phones from the manufacturer that is known for its dual cameras. But wait, what we're talking about here are dual front cameras. Yes, the F3 Plus flaunts a regular 16MP selfie camera, along with a 120-degree wide-angle 8MP snapper to fit in more people. And then there's the beauty mode, which is always implemented nicely on OPPO smartphones. But the F3 Plus also offers serious camera credentials at the back, as it uses a 16MP IMX398 sensor with a f/1.7 aperture lens and dual pixel autofocusing. Features like OIS and an Ultra-HD mode that stitches multiple images to form one 50MP image are some of the things that grab instant attention in the camera department. Other specifications of the device include a large 6-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 653 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
While Samsung is probably the only major brand that hasn't jumped on the dual-camera bandwagon, the Korean giant still manages to offer excellent camera quality with its smartphones. And the Galaxy C7 Pro is one such device, featuring a 16MP camera on both the front and rear of the phone. Both cameras have an aperture of f/1.9, resulting in a decent depth of field in the end image. Its camera app offers the usual features such as Pro and HDR mode, among others. In terms of the hardware, the Galaxy C7 Pro is fitted with a 5.7-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 626 processor coupled with 4-gigs of RAM.
The price bump for the OnePlus 5 means that it fails to make our list. However, its predecessor, the 3T manages to stake a claim for the brand. You might have known the OnePlus 3T for its blazingly fast performance thanks to the Snapdragon 821 SoC, or for its almost stock Android-like Oxygen OS, but the camera performance of the device remains one of its most understated features. The 16MP primary camera on the 3T is quite loaded, thanks to the presence of PDAF and OIS. The 16MP selfie camera on the other hand, ensures well-detailed pictures. That said, if you just increase your budget by about 10 percent, then the OnePlus 5 is surely a better pick with upgraded hardware and dual rear cameras.
There's more to the nubia Z11 than its virtually bezel-less sides and powerful spec-sheet with hardware such as a Snapdragon 820 SoC and 6GB of RAM. For instance, the 16MP primary sensor featuring OIS and PDAF is one of the best performing cameras on a smartphone in this segment. It comes with a bucket-load of software features such as multi-exposure, light painting, clone, electronic aperture as well as a Pro mode that lets you change various shooting parameters as per your liking. On the other hand, the 8MP selfie camera is also capable of clicking some decent selfies.
