Truecaller call recording feature
This feature is quite self explanatory as it will let you record ongoing calls on your phone. It’s quite convenient though since not all phones offer native call recording so you end up download a third-party app for this feature. Truecaller is a nifty app in itself with its caller ID system so with the call recording feature it can turn out to be even more helpful.
Truecaller call recording on Android
On Android, the feature is easy to use as the call recording button will be visible in the Truecaller dialer. But if you’re using another dialer then there will be a floating button with the call recording feature.
Truecaller call recording on iOS
It’s slightly different on iOS due to Apple’s restrictions but Truecaller managed to find a workaround. So what you’ll have to do is go to Truecaller, and dial the ‘recording line’ number then you add a call and merge them both. Once you do this, the call will be recorded and you will receive a file with the recording when the call is over. The same process can be applied for incoming calls too.
Call recording is currently available only for Truecaller Premium, and it’s rolling out first to subscribers in the US. But it will soon be expanded to more countries including India. Truecaller Premium costs Rs 79 per month, and Rs 549 per year.
This isn’t the first time Truecaller introduced call recording as it was first available for premium users on Android back in 2018. It later rolled it out to all Android users in 2021 but due to Google’s limitations on the Accessibility API, Truecaller had to remove it. But now the feature is available again.
