Highlights
  • Truecaller will now let you record calls on Android and iOS.
  • You can also get transcriptions of calls from the app.
  • These features were first introduced in the US last year.

Truecaller has introduced two new important features in India — call recording and AI-powered transcriptions. Truecaller had introduced these features first in the US in June last year. With the new features, you can now directly record calls through Truecaller, and you can also get full transcriptions of your calls on the app. This makes it easier as you won’t require third-party apps to use these features for calls.

  • The interesting part about these features is that you can use them not only on Android but on iOS as well. The catch here though, is that these are paid features available only on the premium versions of the app.
  • There are four Truecaller subscription plans to choose from starting at Rs 149 per month for the basic one, and going up to Rs 5,000 per year for the most expensive one, which is Truecaller Gold. Truecaller call recording on Android

Truecaller call recording on Android: On Android phones, the call recording button will be visible in the Truecaller dialer. If you’re using a different dialer app, then it will appear through a floating button.

Truecaller call recording on iOS: On iPhones, it’s a little different due to iOS restrictions. Here, you’ll have to to go to Truecaller, dial the ‘recording line’ number, add a call and then merge them both. Once you do this, the call will be recorded and you will receive a file with the recording when the call is over. The same process can be applied for incoming calls too.

Truecaller call transcriptions: On Android and iOS, Truecaller will send a push notification with the transciption once the call has ended. In India, call transcriptions are available in English and Hindi. You can later manage the call transcriptions by renaming them, deleting, and even sharing on other apps.
