“The launch will take place right three days ahead of Huawei’s high profile launch on September 19th”
Vivo has just officially declared the launch date of the Vivo NEX 3 handset. The company will take the wraps off its latest flagship on September 16th, adding to the list of major launches of the month. The Vivo NEX 3 recently broke out on TENAA with a full-fledged log of specifications and images. Vivo is expected to launch a 4G and a 5G model of the handset and our exclusive report yesterday also revealed that the Vivo NEX 3 will be in India before Diwali. That means we could see the Vivo Nex 3 in India any time before October 27th.
Vivo NEX 3 specifications
Coming to TENAA specifications, the Vivo NEX 3 boasts an almost tablet-sized display, measuring 6.89-inches thanks to its astounding 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio as well as the steeply curved “Waterfall Screen”. The display is AMOLED screen with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,256 pixels) resolution and has an in-display fingerprint reader. The 4G and 5G models are listed under V1923A/T and V1924A/T names respectively. The highest-specced model of the device will boast 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. This handset is also likely to be Vivo’s first smartphone with the 64MP Samsung sensor. It has a triple camera setup that is placed in a bumped up circular module at the back.
The front camera, which is a 16MP sensor, is housed inside a rectangular pop-up module that could have some other sensors built into it as well. Being a top-of-the-line flagship, the processor is very likely the Snapdragon 855+ SoC powered by a 4,410mAh battery that will be needed. As for the 120W fast charging, it is not expected to be seen, rather a 44W fast charge is much likely.
The Vivo NEX 3 seems like a heavy phone with TENAA mentioning the weight as 218.5g and we’re expecting Blue, Gold, and Black colour options. The button-less phone’s prices are still in the dark but we expect the NEX 3 to be priced at a premium.
