Vivo V19 was supposed to launch in India last month, but the company postponed the event due to the coronavirus lockdown
Earlier this month we had exclusively revealed the possible Vivo V19 specifications and these specs have now been confirmed by the company. The smartphone sports a 6.44-inch FHD+ Dual iView E3 Super AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 409ppi. It is powered by the 2.3GHz octa-core Snapdragon 712 SoC as opposed to the 2.0GHz Snapdragon 675 chipset powering the Indonesian model. The V19 has been launched with 8GB of RAM and two storage variants – 128GB and 256GB. The handset features a triple card slot to hold two SIM cards and a microSD card (up to 256GB).
Vivo V19 price in India could start at around Rs 25,000
The L-shaped quad-camera setup on the back of the Vivo V19 is similar to the Indonesian model. It includes a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP super wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The dual punch-hole cutout on the front houses a 32MP main sensor and an 8MP wide-angle lens.
Vivo V19 houses a 4,500mAh battery and supports 33W Vivo Flash Charge 2.0. To recall, the model in Indonesia only supports 18W fast charging. Additionally, the smartphone will ship with Android 10-based FunTouch OS 10. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G and Type-C port. The handset will measure 159.64×75.04×8.5mm and weigh 186.5 grams.
The Vivo V19 price in India could start at around Rs 25,000, a company source told us last month. The India price of the Vivo V19 could be a little higher than expected thanks to the recent hike in GST rate from 12 percent to 18 percent, which have gone into effect from April 1st. The GST rate hike has already forced Vivo to increase the prices of several of its smartphones.
