Launched back in June, the Vivo Y12 came with 6.35-inch HD+ Halo FullView display, powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor paired with 4GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and packs a 5,000mAh battery. Now, the Chinese brand has announced the 3GB RAM variant with 64GB storage, priced in India at Rs 11,990. Apart from RAM and storage, the rest of the specifications remain the same. The new variant is already available through offline stores in the country and comes in Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red colour options.
As for the specifications, the Vivo Y12 budget phone comes with a 6.35-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with a waterdrop notch, 19:3:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent. It is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC paired with 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 32GB onboard storage that is further expandable via microSD card. The handset boots Android 9.0 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.0 with an ultra-gaming mode that offers reduced frame-drop for a smoother gaming experience.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y12 packs triple rear cameras with a 13-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle secondary snapper, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear cameras offer HDR and portraits mode. For selfies and video calling, there is an 8-megapixel snapper with face beauty and portrait photos. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 5,000mAh battery with intelligent power saving mode fuels the phone. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
