Vivo Y15 and Y12 prices slashed by Rs 1,000 in India in offline stores

Vivo Y15 and Y12 prices were slashed in offline stores across India a few months ago. This move brought the Vivo Y15 price down to Rs 12,990 from the launch price of Rs 13,990, while the Y12 was available at Rs 10,990, instead of Rs 11,990. Now, both the phones have received yet another price cut in India. The Vivo Y15 will be available for Rs 11,990, while the Y12 now costs Rs 9,990 for the 3GB + 64GB model. The new price cuts are already applicable in offline stores in the country, but not in online stores yet. Vivo is also offering a 5 percent cashback on purchases made using HDFC and ICICI Bank cards, along with no-cost EMIs.

Vivo Y15 and Y12 specifications

To recall, the Vivo Y15 sports a 6.35-inch LCD HD+ display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage. The handset runs on FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. In terms of optics, the Vivo Y15 features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary snapper, and a 2MP third shooter. For selfies, it is equipped with a 16MP f/2.0 snapper. In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y15 offers dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. A 5,000mAh battery fuels the phone and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

On the other hand, the Vivo Y12 flaunts the same 6.35-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with a waterdrop notch and 19:3:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC paired with 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 32GB onboard storage that is further expandable via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.0 out of the box. In terms of optics, the Vivo Y12 rocks triple cameras at the back consisting of 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel + a 2-megapixel setup. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel snapper for selfies and security. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM, and A-GPS with GLONASS. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security and a 5,000mAh battery fuels the phone.
