Xiaomi 14 series is debuting today at an event in China. The new smartphone series will feature two models — Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. There could an ‘Ultra’ variant joining this series, globally at least, as the phone has been spotted on the EEC certification site. Xiaomi 14 Ultra has already been spotted on the IMEI database, and the latest sighting suggests an imminent global launch.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra EEC listing
A Xiaomi smartphone with the model number 24030PN60G has been spotted on EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission). This model number is associated with the global variant of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, according to the IMEI database. With this sighting, we can say that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to launch globally soon.
There is no confirmation though whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will launch in China as well, since only the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have been confirmed so far. The Ultra variant could launch only in global markets outside China. Other than the phone’s confirmation, the EEC listing doesn’t reveal anything else.
There’s not much known about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra either. It will presumably be a flagship phone most likely powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The smartphone is also expected to come with Leica-powered cameras, and the front camera is rumoured to have 4K video recording capability.
In addition to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, a Redmi smartphone with the model number 23129RN51X was also spotted on EEC, but it isn’t clear yet which Redmi phone has been mentioned here.
Xiaomi 14 series launch
As for the Xiaomi 14 series, it will debut later today in China. Xiaomi 14 is confirmed to feature a 6.36-inch display, which could be an AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to feature a larger 6.6-inch AMOLED 2.5D display with a 2K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 14 series is also confirmed to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset making it the first in the industry.
