Xiaomi Pad 5 launched in India with Snapdragon 860 processor, 8,720mAh battery: price, specifications

Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Smart 5A TV series, alongside the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India. The Xiaomi Pad 5 to the Xiaomi Pad 4. The Pad 5 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor, a massive 8,720mAh battery, and a 120Hz Full-HD+ display. Xiaomi also introduced two productivity tools — a 12.2 gm Xiaomi Pen and a Xiaomi Pad keyboard. It is the first tablet from the company and in the segment to feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atoms. Xiaomi also introduced a brand new MIUI Pad OS for its Tablets. Let’s take a look at what the Xiaomi Pad 5 has in store for us.

Xiaomi Pad 5 price in India

Xiaomi Pad 5 comes in two storage options 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage priced at Rs 26,999 and 8GB/256GB at Rs 28,999. Xiaomi is offering introductory prices of Rs 24,999 and 26,999. The offer is valid till May 7th. Xiaomi didn’t announce the colour options of the Xiaomi Pad 5 at the event.

Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a 10.95-inch WQHD+ LCD 10-bit TrueColor display that supports 2560×1600 pixel resolution, 275PPI, 650 nits brightness, 16:10 aspect ratio, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and a 120Hz refresh rate. At the heart of the Pad 5 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor paired with Adreno 640 GPU. Xiaomi Pad 5 packs 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. An 8,720mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging powers the Pad 5. The user will get a 22.5W charger out of the box.

As for the camera, the Xiaomi Pad 5 flaunts a 13MP primary camera at the back, which is capable of recording 1080p Full-HD+ videos. An 8MP snapper at the front takes care of selfie needs. Xiaomi Pad 5 boots Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 Pad skin out of the box.

Additionally, the Pad 5 supports small windows, split screens, and parallel windows, quad speakers, and channel mapping features. The Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a Xioami Pen and Xiaomi keyboard support. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Wifi 2.4/5GHz bands, and USB Type-C OTG support.
