After a series of phone launches in its home country and global markets, Xiaomi is preparing a smart ecosystem event at MWC 2024. This event is expected to be the first time the brand brings some of its groundbreaking products out of China for a special showcase. It might also unveil the Xiaomi 14 global variant at the same event.
Xiaomi Human x Car x Home event scheduled for next month
Xiaomi has announced that it will be at MWC 2024, which takes place annually in Barcelona, Spain. The company has invited media to “experience the Human x Car x Home smart ecosystem” at its booth. Xiaomi’s MWC 2024 event will kick off on February 26th, and the booth will be on-ground till February 29th.
As pictured above, the invite is quite cryptic and does not specifically unveil which product the brand could be preparing for the event. Xiaomi has shown a greater focus on its ecosystem, which is being powered by the new HyperOS software. After multiple events in China last year, this could be the one where the brand showcases its strategy to bring ecosystem products to global markets.
Xiaomi SU7 could be showcased at MWC 2024, Xiaomi 14 launch also expected
The “car” aspect of the event could be the global showcase of its brand-new Xiaomi SU7 EV. At a domestic event on December 28th, Xiaomi officially unveiled the car launching in the Chinese market this year. The price tag is yet to be revealed, and there are no hints of Xiaomi bringing this car to other markets. But MWC 2024 would be a good chance for Xiaomi to show off its connected ecosystem with this vehicle to the global media.
It is also widely assumed that the Xiaomi 14 will launch globally at the brand’s MWC event. The lack of certifications for the Pro variant only indicates that the vanilla model is making its debut outside China.
Xiaomi is expected to receive a global launch in multiple European countries and possibly the SEA markets. An India launch for the same is still unclear. Xiaomi could surprise us by providing tidbits on the highly-anticipated Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which was recently spotted in testing.
