Packing a 5,391mAh battery, the iPhone 18 Pro Max (review) has the largest battery capacity of any iPhone ever made. While we were not able to run the PCMark Battery Drain test, since the app is not available on the App Store, to gauge its endurance in synthetic benchmarks, we tried playing a 4K YouTube video in a loop at 80 percent brightness, during which the phone lasted 13 hours and 8 minutes. These numbers are around 30 minutes higher than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In the said test, the 18 Pro Max dropped its battery by just 4 percent in the 30-minute playback duration, the lowest among its rivals, such as Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Google Pixel 11 Pro XL.

On to the results that matter more, during a typical day of checking WhatsApp messages and emails, clicking pictures, and scrolling through social media feeds, the iPhone 18 Pro Max can last one and a half days on a single charge.
