Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ tipped to feature 64MP telephoto camera, 8K video recording

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series is confirmed to launch on February 11th and hit stores in March first week in the USA. We’ve already seen the design of all the three models in the exclusive renders. Now, in the new leak courtesy of Ice Universe, the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ are said to feature a 64MP telephoto sensor, compared to the 48MP telephoto sensor on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The sensor will be used to record 8K videos, which will have 33.2MP resolution. This means only the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s primary rear camera will be able to shoot 8K videos and have a Periscope zoom lens.

The standard Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ are expected to use the 64MP photos and crop the image depending on the zoom level selected. It remains to be seen if the telephoto lens would have a focal length. Moreover, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is said to ship with a massive 108MP primary sensor, accompanied by four other sensors. The rectangular camera module is placed on the top-left side at the back. All three models will have a centre-aligned punch-hole display to accommodate the selfie snapper.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series is expected to adopt the punch-hole display-toting Infinity-O panel, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D curved glass. They are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 865/ Exynos 990 SoC depending on the region, with up to 16GB RAM, 128GB base internal storage that is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. The Galaxy S20 series is said to boot Android 10 OS with One UI 2.0 custom skin and expected to rock IP68 water-resistant rating at around five meters

The standard Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 5G are expected to sport a 6.2-inch WQHD+ display, rock triple rear cameras consisting of a 12MP primary sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 4,000mAh battery. The Galaxy S20 and S20 5G to reportedly set you back by EUR 899 (about Rs 70,900) and EUR 999 (about Rs 86,000).

The Samsung Galaxy S20+ is rumoured to flaunt a slightly bigger 6.7-inch Infinity-O panel, it is said to include an additional 3D TimeOfFlight sensor and pack a 4,500mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging support. As for the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20+ 5G will reportedly be costlier at EUR 1,099 (around Rs 1,06,000) for the entry-level model.

Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G is rumoured to sport a large 6.9-inch Super AMOLED display, rock a massive 5,000mAh battery, a 1080MP primary rear cameras and a 40MP snapper on the front for selfies. The handset will reportedly carry 100X Zoom and Space Zoom mode for astrophotography. The handset will be the costlier of the lot at EUR 1,349 (around Rs 1,06,000) for the 128GB model and EUR 1,549 (about Rs 1,22,000) for the 512GB storage option.
