“The next-gen Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone too could also be unveiled at the event”
Samsung has finally confirmed the launch date of its flagship Galaxy S11/ S20 series, which is in line with the leak last week. The chaebol has shared a teaser, which reveals that the 2020 Galaxy Unpacked event will indeed take place on February 11th. The teaser doesn’t reveal much about the event; however, it seems Samsung is gearing up to launch more than one device at the event. Going by the previous leaks and rumours, we’ll most likely see the unveiling of the all-new Galaxy S11/ S20 series, along with the next-gen foldable smartphone allegedly dubbed as Galaxy Fold 2, and Galaxy Buds+.

Samsung Galaxy S11/ S20 series specifications
Like the Galaxy S10 series, the Samsung Galaxy S11/ S20 series is also expected to come in as many as three models: Galaxy S11e/ S20e, Galaxy S11/ S20, and Galaxy S11+/ S20+. All three models are tipped to feature a curved Dynamic AMOLED screen with a centered punch-hole display, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and HDR 10+ support. At least one Galaxy S11 series offering, if not all, will reportedly sport 120Hz refresh rate display and QHD+ resolution. The handsets will most likely be powered by 5G Exynos 990 SoC, aided by up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB onboard storage.
In optics, the Galaxy S11 series is expected to feature more advanced camera setup with a new 108MP sensor, 8K video recording, 5x optical zoom, and more. Other highlights are likely to be the latest Android 10-based One UI 2.0, a whopping 5,000mAh battery with impressive charging support, DeX support, and more.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2
As for the Samsung Galaxy Fold successor, it’s tipped to feature a clamshell design with a centered punch-hole display. The rumours also suggest that there will be a secondary cover display, dual rear cameras, and Android 10-based One UI 2.0 running out of the box. The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to drive up the sale of a foldable smartphone with a more affordable price tag compared to the original Fold. The handset is said to be priced around $845 (around Rs 60,500).
