The Asus ROG Phone 6 may or may not be the first phone to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset under the hood, but it’ll be the first gaming smartphone to feature the latest Qualcomm flagship SoC. The teaser reveals that Asus ROG Phone 6 will debut on July 5th in Taipei at 8 PM, which is around 5:30 PM IST.

Following Asus ROG Phone 6’s launch, Black Shark and Nubia will also launch their Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered gaming smartphones. Xiaomi 12 Ultra with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will hit the market in July. Motorola has also announced that it’ll launch a flagship phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a 200MP camera in July.
Not much is known about the Asus ROG Phone 6, but we expect it to come with a better cooling system, a faster charging option, and an improved camera setup. Previously, we came across a leak that revealed the design of Asus ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro via 2D renders. Asus launched its ROG Phone 3 and the ROG Phone 5 in India on the same day as the global launch, so we expect the Asus ROG Phone 6 to follow the same. As we get closer to the handset’s launch, we expect to learn more about its specifications, features, price, and launch date.
