Flipkart delivers damaged product

In a post on X (Twitter), a Flipkart customer wrote about his entire ordeal along with images for proof. According to the post, the customer ordered a kitchen chimney but when he opened the package, the product was damaged. There were some pieces which were broken as well. A proper unboxing video of the package has also been share by the customer.

The first post was shared on October 15th, but the product was delivered on October 6th. The last post with the same complaint was shared on October 26th. So based on these posts, there was no action taken by Flipkart for 20 days. The e-commerce platform did reply to the post with an apology.

“We’re sorry to keep you waiting. Please be assured that we are looking into your concern about the delivered product and will keep you updated via a call/email. Your patience is greatly appreciated,” Flipkart Support said in its reply.

But it still isn’t clear if Flipkart has exchanged the product or given a refund to the customer. There hasn’t been any update since October 26th from the Flipkart customer. It may be that Flipkart has finally compensated them or we might see an update soon. Damaged products can be due to logistics but a swift response from the e-commerce platform is expected.

In another incident, a student had ordered a MacBook worth Rs 76,000 from Flipkart ended up receiving headphones instead. Flipkart reportedly refused to make any refunds saying that the product comes under the platform’s ‘No Returns’ policy. According to Flipkart’s No Returns policy, there are specific products that cannot be returned once ordered, and among these are Apple products.
