Samsung Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 processor confirmed to launch in India

Samsung India has confirmed the launch of a new variant of Galaxy S21 FE 5G in the country. The company has set up a dedicated microsite for the upcoming model. A teaser image has shown that the phone will house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.

The brand earlier launched the Snapdragon 888 chipset in select regions in early 2022. The phone came with Exynos 2100 in other countries such as India. The 5nm processor coupled with Adreno 660 GPU should allow for better gaming performance. Other specs of the smartphone remain the same.

New colour, 256GB base storage

The brand has confirmed that the new Galaxy S21 FE will come with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage as the base variant. The phone has been tipped to come in a Navy Blue colour option too. You should also expect 8GB LPDDR4X RAM similar to the Exynos variant. A lower 128GB ROM is not expected to be available as an option.

Price leaked ahead of launch

Our exclusive report from last week revealed the pricing of the upcoming smartphone. In a note to offline retailers, Samsung mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 will be priced at ₹49,999. The price tag is slightly lesser than the Exynos variant which came out at ₹53,999 for the similar 256GB storage.

The South Korean smartphone maker has not shared a confirmed launch date yet but has listed the phone as “coming soon.” We should know more about its availability details and launch offers in the coming days. Samsung is also bringing the Galaxy M34 to India on July 7.
