iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max RAM capacity

Apple never reveals the RAM capacity of iPhones but there are ways to figure it out. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max come with 8GB of RAM, according to a report by MacRumors. This was discovered in the Xcode 15 Release Candidate of the iPhone 15 series, the report added. It also confirms that Apple has bumped the RAM capacity from 6GB to 8GB for its Pro models. 

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus on the other hand, come with 6GB of RAM. There’s no change here as the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus also pack 6GB of RAM.

The iPhone 15 Pro series is already touted to offer better performance and power efficiency, and next-level gaming capabilities than its predecessors. More RAM will add to the overall performance of the new iPhones. How all of this eventually pans out in real-life scenarios, we’ll find out in detailed reviews later.

• Display: The iPhone 15 Pro has a 6.1-inch display, while the Pro Max offers a bigger 6.7-inch display. It’s an OLED Super Retina XDR display with 120Hz ProMotion, HDR, True Tone, Dynamic Island, Ceramic Shield protection. And yes, it’s also an Always-On display.
• Processor: Both the Pro models are powered by the A17 Pro 3nm chipset.
• Storage variants: The two iPhones come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. Thee iPhone 15 Pro also has a 128GB option. 
• Software: The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be available with iOS 17 out-of-the-box.
• Cameras: On the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max you get triple rear cameras that include a 48MP wide-angle primary sensor with sensor-shift OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto sensor, offering 3X optical zoom on the Pro and 5X on the Pro Max.  There’s a 12MP TrueDepth front camera as well.
• Other features: IP68 water and dust resistance, fast charging with 15W MagSafe wireless charging, stereo speakers.

The iPhone 15 series will be available to pre-order in India on September 15th from 5:30 pm onwards. It will go on sale on September 22nd. In terms of pricing, the iPhone 15 starts at Rs 79,900, iPhone 15 Plus at Rs 89,900, iPhone 15 Pro at Rs 1,34,900, and iPhone 15 Pro Max at Rs 1,59,900.
