- Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says iPhone SE 3 will not release in the first half of 2021
The iPhone SE 2020 revived the affordable iPhone line, which brought joy to many who could not afford Apple’s premium iPhones. The success of the iPhone SE 2020 is perhaps why we’re hearing rumours about a possible iPhone SE 3 launch in 2021. According to a new report, iPhone SE 3 specs may include a significantly larger 6.0-inch display, the 5G-ready Apple A13 Bionic chipset, and two rear cameras. Unlike its predecessor, the smartphone will be not be launched in the first half of 2020. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo did not give a precise iPhone SE 3 release date, but it seems the device will only arrive in the second half next year.

Little more is known about the iPhone SE 3 features at this point. If the screen size rumour is true, it could be the first-ever iPhone to come with a side-mounted Touch ID sensor. Apple has already used it on the new iPad Air, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the same tech made its way to the iPhone SE 3. While many users will welcome the addition of a larger screen, others who wanted to buy an iPhone with a small screen will have to opt for the more premium iPhone 12 mini.
An affordable iPhone SE 3 with a larger screen will undoubtedly attract new users towards Apple’s ecosystem. However, Apple still wants to cater to those seeking compact smartphones, and that’s where the iPhone mini comes in. Apparently, the iPhone 13 series will comprise of four devices, one of which is likely the iPhone 13 Mini. We can expect the iPhone SE 3 price in India to be around Rs 44,000, based on the current market trends.
