Motorola Edge 40 design
As per the renders, the Motorola Edge 40 has a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and narrow bezels. The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge. The USB Type-C port, primary microphone, and speaker grille are at the bottom. On the back, you find the rectangular module to house the dual camera sensors and an LED flash.
The phone will be available in Viva Magenta, Nebula Green, Lunar Blue, and Eclipse Black colour options when it’s launched. The renders show all four colour options will have a faux leather finish on the back.
Motorola Edge 40 specifications
The Motorola Edge 40 is expected to sport a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1200nits peak brightness. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
The Motorola Edge 40 packs a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging support. As for the cameras, the phone will have dual cameras on the back, with a 50MP f/1.5 main camera with OIS support and a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view. There is a 32MP snapper on the front.
The reports suggested the Motorola Edge 40 will come with a Vegan Leather finish and PMMA Acrylic variant. The leather finish will measure 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.58mm and weigh 171 grams. While the PMMA version is 7.49mm thick.
