The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be launching on May 15 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The game will also come to Nintendo Switch sometime later this year. The developer has not specified any release date or window for Gollum’s Switch release. Daedalic has not begun pre-orders for the game yet, so its price is currently under the wraps. The developer will share more details about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum including pre-order details, price, gameplay, system requirements, and more in the coming weeks.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum’s gameplay will have a blend of action and stealth. Gollum will sneak past enemies across Middle-earth to progress through the game. The game will also reflect on the complexity of Gollum’s character allowing players to make decisions based on ideas from the darker side of the character, Gollum, or the much more gentler side of Smeagol. The dev team has previously said that the game takes inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, instead of Peter Jackson’s movie adaptations.
