Mi 11 Lite 5G variant will launch in India when 5G network rolls out: Manu Kumar Jain

Mi 11 Lite has been launched in India officially as the latest Mi 11-series phone. Unlike in the global markets, Xiaomi has only brought the 4G variant to the country and it ships with the Snapdragon 732G SoC. However, Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain has announced that the company will be willing to launch the Mi 11 5G in India "whenever 5G network rolls out" or if there is enough demand for the device. Considering 5G services are not available in India, with full-fledged trials yet to begin, it's pretty hard to point to an exact Mi 11 Lite 5G launch timeline. Compared to Realme, OnePlus, Samsung brands that already have multiple affordable 5G models in their portfolio, Xiaomi is lacking behind in the race as it just offers the Mi 10i with 5G connectivity in the sub Rs 25,000 segment.
