Mi MIX 4 wireless charging tipped to be faster than wired charging

The Mi MIX 4 smartphone could come with the fastest wireless charging tech in the industry. A teaser has surfaced on Weibo, which claims that Xiaomi is working on tech that will offer faster wireless charging than wired. While it isn’t confirmed yet, the technology is tipped to debut with Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship Mi MIX 4. This will make it the fastest wireless charging smartphone – taking over Xiaomi Mi 9, which offers an unprecedented 20W wireless charging speed. Notably, the Mi MIX 4 is already rumoured to come with 30W wireless charging. Other details are unknown at the moment, but the company is slated to make further announcements about the technology tomorrow so stay tuned.

The Mi MIX 4, meanwhile, is turning out to be quite a smartphone. The phone, which is expected to launch on September 24th, has been tipped to feature quad-camera rear cameras with a whopping 108MP Samsung sensor. The handset is also expected to feature a 16MP sensor and a 12MP sensor at the back along with the periscope lens, which will be similar to the OPPO Reno 10X Zoom smartphone. At the Mi MIX 4’s core is rumoured to lie Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB UFS 3.0 storage.

Mi MIX 4 is expected to don Ceramic back, just like its predecessors, and sport a curved edge-to-edge display with an impressive 2K resolution. The handset will reportedly boot the next-iteration of Xiaomi’s custom skin dubbed as MIUI 11 atop the Android out of the box. The entire setup could be driven by a beefy 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Lastly, a 5G version of the Mi MIX 4 is also expected to launch.
