[Update: teasers are fan-made] Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 6.2 teased for MWC 2019 launch

While it's already known that HMD Global will be hosting an event at the massive MWC tech trade show in Barcelona, Spain next month, what the Finnish smartphone maker has in store is still not completely known. However, after HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas announced Nokia's official presence at MWC on Twitter, a number of official teasers have dropped that shed more light on the products that will be on display. The not-so-subtle teasers hint at the Nokia 9 PureView being the star of the show as was expected of the company. However, there are a couple of other teasers that show a mysterious new Nokia phone.

As can be seen in the images, the upcoming Nokia smartphone has been teased with a punch hole display, with the selfie camera positioned on the top-left corner. It will be the first Nokia-branded phone to feature such a display design, which will maximise the screen real estate without using a notch.

Now, if previous renders and leaks of the Nokia 9 are to be believed, the penta-lens phone from Nokia doesn't have any holes in the front screen. Hence, this is a different smartphone. From what we expect, this could probably be the Nokia 6.2, a mid-range handset. This is also corroborated by our exclusive CAD-based render leak that showed a punch-hole screen on the said handset. The mid-range handset is thought to be coming with a Snapdragon 710 SoC ticking inside its chassis. Aside from that, much about the device remains unknown.

A lot of eyes will be on Nokia as it takes to stage on February 25th with the majority of attention being on the Nokia 9 PureView. It is expected to be the first handset with a five-camera setup on the back. The handset will also be a flagship packing powerful internals such as a Snapdragon 845 SoC, a 5.99-inch display with 2K resolution, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage. A number of other devices, such as the Nokia 1 Plus, could also end up being unveiled at the show.
