OPPO A5s with Helio P35 SoC and 4,230mAh battery launched in India: price, specifications

A month after making its debut in China, the OPPO A5s smartphone has been launched in India. The new entry-level handset from the brand is nothing but a slightly upgraded version of the last year's OPPO A5 smartphone. The OPPO A5s comes with a waterdrop-style notch display and is the first smartphone in the country to feature MediaTek's Helio P35 chipset. 

OPPO A5s price in India

The OPPO A5s price in India has been set at Rs 9,990 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant, which is just as we exclusively reported last week. The handset comes in two colour options: black and red, and as per the company, it went for sale from April 20th in the country. There is also a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the OPPO A5s whose price has not been announced yet. The variant will be launched in India in May 2019 in green and gold shades. The handset will be available on Amazon Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ, PayTM Mall, and all offline stores.

As for the specifications, OPPO A5s ships with a 6.2-inch HD+ In-Cell display and Android 8.1 Oreo-based on ColorOS 5.2.1 out of the box. The MediaTek Helio P35 SoC ticking at its core is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. In the camera department, the phone rocks a dual 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel camera setup at the rear, and an 8-megapixel snapper on the front for selfie and video calling. The OPPO A5s also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a beefy 4,230mAh battery.
