[Exclusive] OPPO Reno 4 Pro India launch to take place in third week of July

OPPO Reno 4 Pro India launch may clash with the launch of the OnePlus Nord

OPPO Reno 4 Pro is set to launch in India this month although the company is yet to confirm the launch date. However, we have some idea about the smartphone's launch timeline. 91mobiles has learnt from retail sources that OPPO is planning to launch the Reno 4 Pro in India in the third week of July. This suggests the OPPO Reno 4 Pro India launch event will take place anywhere between July 20th to July 24th. Interestingly, OnePlus is also expected to launch the OnePlus Nord during the same week. Both the smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset.

To recall, the OPPO Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro were launched in China last month touting the Snapdragon 765G chipset, curved AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, 48MP triple rear cameras, and 65W fast charging support, among other things. Recently, tipster Mukul Sharma tweeted live images of the OPPO Reno 4 Pro Indian variant. In the tweet, the tipster mentioned that the model coming to India will be slightly different to the Chine variant in terms of refresh rate and screen size.

This could suggest that the OPPO Reno 4 Pro India variant will come with a higher 120Hz refresh rate. We expect the rest of the Reno 4 Pro specifications to remain the same. It is also unclear at the moment whether the company will bring the vanilla OPPO Reno4 model to the country as well.

Ahead of the India launch of the OPPO Reno 4 Pro, the company slashed the price of the OPPO Reno 3 Pro. To recall, the OPPO Reno 3 Pro was originally launched in India at Rs 29,990, but the price was hiked to Rs 31,990 following the GST hike in April. The phone is now back to its original Rs 29,990 price tag. The price cut could indicate that the OPPO Reno 4 Pro will launch between Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 in India. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord is also expected to be priced between Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 in the country.
