OPPO Reno5 Pro India launch date was announced by the company recently and the smartphone is set to arrive next week. The handset will launch as a premium mid-range offering, with a focus on display, camera, and fast-charging capabilities. The Reno5 Pro was originally launched in China back in December alongside the vanilla Reno5 and was quickly followed by a more premium Reno5 Pro+. If the OPPO Reno5 Pro specifications in India are indeed similar to the China model, it will mark the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity chipset in India which brings with it 5G capabilities. Additionally, the OPPO Enco X TWS earbuds will also be launching on the same stage on the 18th. OPPO Reno5 Pro India launch date is Monday, January 18th and the event will be live-streamed on the company’s social media handles and YouTube at 12:30 PM IST.
OPPO Reno5 Pro price in India (rumoured)
While it’s not confirmed, the OPPO Reno5 Pro price in India is tipped to start at Rs 39,990. This puts the pricing very close to the China model, where it costs RMB 3,399 (approx Rs 38,300) for the 8GB/128GB variant. While the 12GB/256GB model costs RMB 3,799 (around Rs 42,800). There’s a possibility the RAM/storage options might vary on the Indian model. The Reno5 Pro will be available via Flipkart once launched.
OPPO Reno5 Pro specifications
OPPO Reno5 Pro India variant specifications are said to be similar to the China model. This means it will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This will be the first phone in India to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 custom skin out of the box. The Reno5 Pro features a 4,350mAh battery, 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
As for the cameras, the OPPO Reno5 Pro has a quad-camera setup at the back comprising of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens with a 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono portrait lens. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The handset measures 159.7×73.2×7.6mm mm and weighs 173 grams.
OPPO Reno5 Pro design
OPPO Reno5 Pro has curved edges on the front, a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner for the selfie camera and ultra-slim bezels. The power button is on the right, while the volume rocker is on the left. On the back, it has a quad-camera setup arranged in a rectangular module along with an LED flash and OPPO branding. The USB Type-C port, speaker grille and microphone are present at the bottom. The phone could be made available in multiple colour options.
