If the alleged Geekbench specifications are true, then the POCO M2 Pro will be powered by the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 720G chipset, which also happens to power the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. This is a gaming-centric mid-range processor based on an 8nm process that was announced earlier this year and looks to be slightly more powerful than the older Snapdragon 730G SoC, at least on paper.
The alleged POCO M2 Pro specifications and the quad camera layout all seem to suggest that the phone will be a rebranded or a watered down version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, although we cannot say this for sure until the company reveals the phone completely. With the POCO X2 selling at under Rs 20,000 in the country, we speculate that the POCO M2 Pro will be a sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone. POCO M2 Pro will launch in India on July 7th and will go on sale on Flipkart.
