Realme smartwatch with model number RMA183 has now bagged IMDA certification in Singapore. While it doesn't reveal anything about the wearable just yet, it does hint that we might be inching closer to its launch. To recall, the smartwatch was in the news when it received certification from India's BIS and its name was trademarked in Indonesia a while ago. Ahead of the Realme X50 Pro announcement in February, the company had released a teaser video that showcased the tech-lifestyle products, including the existing Realme Buds Air, smartwatch, Realme Band, among others. The video showed off a glimpse of the Realme smartwatch with a circular dial, colour display, and what could be a leather strap.
As announced, Realme seems to be expanding its portfolio beyond just smartphones. Earlier this month, it launched the Realme Band fitness tracker and promised to introduce Realme TV in India in Q2 2020. It also has smart speakers and weighing scale in the works and might launch some time down the year. Things should get real interesting in the days to come as Realme is going head-on with Xiaomi.
To recall the specifications of Realme Band, the fitness tracker flaunts a 0.96-inch colour curved LCD display with 160 x 80 pixels resolution. It is capable of displaying 64 letters on one page and more than 65,000 colours. It is equipped with real-time heart rate and sleep quality monitors as well as idle alerts. The Realme Band can track nine different sports, including cycling, running, walking, hiking, climbing, yoga, workouts, and spinning. It has a touch-button below the display and can be used for navigation. There is a 90mAh battery that is claimed to last up to nine days without heart rate function enabled.
Realme Band specifications can display notifications from the connected smartphone and users can connect the band to phone via the Realme Link app. It is priced at Rs 1,499 and is available in Black, Olive Green, and Light Yellow colour options.
