“The Realme X50 Pro will launch on February 24th with a smooth 90Hz AMOLED display”
Realme X50 Pro will sport a 90Hz Super AMOLED display, much like the Realme X2 Pro. This was revealed in a new teaser poster on Weibo ahead of the smartphone’s launch in Madrid on February 24th. The Realme X50 Pro is already confirmed to launch with a Snapdragon 865 SoC, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, Wi-Fi 6 support and 65W SuperDart fast charging tech. The company has now confirmed that the smartphone will feature a smooth 90Hz refresh rate along with a Super AMOLED panel. Additionally, the Realme X50 Pro will come with a dual punch-hole display.
With its upcoming flagship smartphone, Realme is touting itself as the company that can popularise 5G smartphones. While the Realme X50 Pro will almost certainly be more expensive than other Realme smartphones to date, the company is still expected to price its device competitively, especially for value sensitive markets such as India. Given that fellow BBK Electronics brand iQOO is launching a 5G enabled smartphone in India on February 25th, it will be interesting to see if Realme brings its flagship to India with 5G connectivity as well.
With such specifications at hand, Realme will rival the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series. Other manufacturers are also expected to join the fray soon, with OnePlus being the most notable player to bring a Snapdragon 865 SoC-powered phone to India, with the upcoming OnePlus 8. 91mobiles had previously reported that the India launch of the Realme X50 Pro should happen soon after its global unveiling, and it now remains to be seen when does the brand bring its flagship to India.
