Redmi K70 spotted on Geekbench with yet-to-be-launched MediaTek Dimensity 8300

The Redmi K70 series is set to debut in China very soon, although we are yet to hear the exact launch date. There could be three models in the series, including the Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro, and Redmi K70e. After the renders of the vanilla model surfaced online, the handset appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing confirms the model number 2311DRK48C and some key hardware details.

Redmi K70 appears on Geekbench

The Redmi K70 has managed to score 1,248 in the single-core test and 4,177 in the multicore test.
The listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, shows the model number 2311DRK48C. The report notes that the handset could also be the Redmi K70e.
The Geekbench listing shows the phone will run on Android 14 OS and pack 16GB RAM but there could be other options at launch.
The motherboard has a peak clock speed of 3.35GHz and the chipset could be the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC. This is surprising considering earlier rumours suggested the phone would come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The SoC could be paired with Mali-G615 MC6 GPU for graphics.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8300 is yet to be announced. As per a recent leak from tipster WHY LAB, the chipset is expected to debut within the next two weeks. The Redmi K70 is expected to be rebranded as POCO F6 globally and in India. A POCO device recently received the BIS certification with the model number 2311DRK481. Since the model numbers are similar, we expect the Redmi K70 will indeed be rebranded as POCO F6.

Redmi K70 is tipped to feature an FHD+ AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+.
The vanilla model could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with Adreno GPU. But the Geekbench list showed Dimensity 8300 SoC.
The phone could pack up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The Redmi flagship could run on Android 14 based on MIUI 14 out of the box.
The handset is expected to feature 90W fast charging support. However, we are yet to learn the battery capacity.
Connectivity options might include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
