Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 in India seems to be getting costlier with each passing month as the brand has increased the phone’s price for the 5th time this year (yes, you read that right!). The Redmi Note 8 price in India has been increased by Rs 500 yet again and now starts at Rs 12,499 for the 4GB+64GB variant. Meanwhile, the 6GB+128GB model is still priced at Rs 14,499 in both online and offline markets as of now. Notably, the online Mi store is already reflecting the new pricing of the handsets. As far as offline market is concerned, 91mobiles has learned from retail sources that the new pricing for the base model of the handset is effective starting today itself.
To recall, the Redmi Note 8 series was launched last year with a starting price of Rs 9,999 and has since received five price hikes. It remains to be seen if the brand will be increasing the price of the 6GB RAM variant again or it will be maintained at its current level.
