Redmi TV with 40-inch full-HD display and PatchWall UI launched: price, specifications

“Other key specifications of the 40-inch Redmi TV include 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, and 1.4GHz quad-core processor”

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has launched its new 40-inch smart TV in China. To recall, the brand earlier launched its 70-inch TV in its home country back in August. The new Redmi TV comes with two 8W speakers and full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Unfortunately, there are no special tricks up the sleeve as the 40-inch Redmi TV comes with a 60Hz panel. The new TV comes with a rather affordable price tag of CNY 999 (roughly Rs 10,000) and is already available for sale via multiple retailers in the online space of the brand’s home country.

Coming to specifications, the new Redmi TV with a 40-inch display is powered by a 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core Amlogic chipset, coupled with Mali-450 MP2 GPU. The TV packs 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of built-in storage. The software side of things is handled by the PatchWall UI. As mentioned earlier, the new smart TV from Redmi features two 8W speakers. The Mobile Indian reports that the Redmi TV supports Dolby Audio and DTS 2.0+Digital Out as well. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi connectivity, two HDMI ports, an Ethernet port, and more.

To recall the features offered by the 70-inch model, which was launched in August, it packs a near bezel-less display with 4K HDR resolution and runs the Android-based PatchWall OS. The TV also comes with built-in 16GB storage and 8GB RAM that lets you download apps, just like your smartphones.
