Last month, Samsung expanded its range of M series smartphones in India with the launch of the Galaxy M40. Now, the South Korean tech giant is planning to launch a new A series handset in the country. In an interaction with 91mobiles, a Samsung executive has revealed that the company is all set to release the Galaxy A80 in India at some point later this month.
The Galaxy A80 was said to go on sale in the country last month, but that didn’t come to pass. Now, the company has confirmed plans to finally release it in India very soon. The handset is already listed on the brand’s website in the country. The smartphone was originally launched in April in Thailand as the world’s first phone to feature a triple rotating camera module.

The Samsung Galaxy A80’s triple rotating camera module slides up and rotate to double as the selfie module. The phone features an 8MP ultra-wide camera at the back, aided by a 48MP sensor apart from a 3D depth shooter. The smartphone has a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display, and boots Android 9 Pie with the brand’s One UI 1.1 out of the box. Powering the handset is a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor.
The phone comes in a single RAM and storage variant – 8GB + 128GB, which support microSD cards for further memory expansion; however, there will be more than one variants of the smartphone in the country. In terms of connectivity, the handset has 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and A-GPS. A 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging support keeps the whole package alive.
According to our sources, the Galaxy A80 will be available in two RAM and storage configurations in India. They will be priced at Rs 39,990 and Rs 44,990.
