[Exclusive]: Here’s the first live image of Samsung’s Galaxy M20; Infinity-V display confirmed

“Both the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 offer a similar design and will be the brand’s first smartphones with Infinity-V display”

Multiple reports in the past few weeks have suggested that Samsung is planning to debut its new Galaxy M series devices later this month in India. The Samsung Galaxy M20 is expected to be one of the first phones to be launched under the new range. Just last month, we exclusively brought you images of the front and rear panels of the Galaxy M20. Now, we have some more scoop regarding the phone’s design, apart from its first live image.

Samsung Galaxy M20 live

91mobiles recently managed to get its hands on a unit of the Samsung Galaxy M20 from the same source which provided us the earlier images of the device. After seeing the phone, we can now confirm that the handset will arrive with the brand’s Infinity-V display which is slightly curved towards the edges. Moreover, the bottom bezel of the device is slightly slimmer than the one on the Galaxy Note 9 (review). As you can see from the photo embedded above, the phone has narrow bezels around the notch, which houses the front camera. Interestingly, the notch is surrounded by a breathing LED strip, which lights up every time you unlock the device. Unfortunately, we were only able to capture a single photo of the Galaxy M20. Notably, we also saw a unit of the Galaxy M10, which offers the same design as the Galaxy M20, although the latter seemed to be thicker and slightly bulkier.

As far as the rear panel is concerned, the Galaxy M20 has a dual primary camera setup at the back, which is located on the top-left corner. An LED flash unit, as well as a fingerprint sensor, is also placed on the rear. The device has a polycarbonate back with a glass finish, which lends it a premium appeal. At the bottom, the phone gets a USB Type-C port (the M10 however, features a micro-USB port), a speaker, and a 3.5mm headphone socket. The source also mentioned that the Galaxy M20 will be one of the first phones from the brand to pack in the largest battery in a Samsung phone ever (we can speculate it to be a 5,000mAh unit).

According to the earlier reports, the Samsung Galaxy M20 could feature a 6.13-inch screen. The phone’s recent Bluetooth certification suggested that the device will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 7904 processor. The handset is said to come with 3GB of RAM, and will be available in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. At the rear, the phone is rumoured to feature a 13MP snapper, aided by a 5MP secondary shooter. On the front, the device is expected to come with an 8-megapixel camera.

Unfortunately, our source couldn’t ascertain details regarding the Samsung Galaxy M20’s pricing and availability. However, recent reports suggested that the phone will be a budget offering priced around Rs 15,000.
