Samsung has revised the prices of its smartphones in India, following the GST council's decision to increase the tax on mobile phones to 18 percent from 12 percent. The new rules are applicable starting from today, i.e. April 1st, which means smartphones across brands will become costlier than ever before. We have already reported on OPPO phone prices that have been hiked as well as revised prices of Vivo phones. As for Samsung, retail sources have tipped 91mobiles that it has increased the prices of its smartphones across all price segments, including the latest Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, by up to Rs 9,000. Starting with the flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 series, the vanilla model now comes with a starting price of Rs 70,500 instead of Rs 66,999. The Samsung Galaxy S20+ now costs Rs 77,900, up from Rs 73,999, while the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will set you back to Rs 97,900 instead of Rs 92,999. As for the foldable phones, the Galaxy Fold price is now Rs 1,73,835, up from Rs 1,64,999 while the Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone's price in India is increased to Rs 1,15,890 from Rs 1,09,900.
Last year's flagship Samsung Galaxy S10e smartphone's price has been increased by as much as Rs 3,400. It will now cost Rs 47,300, which is up from its previous MOP of Rs 44,900. The Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will now have a starting price of Rs 58,800 and Rs 78,800 respectively. As for the Note series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 price has been increased by Rs 3,601 to cost Rs 73,600 in India. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ will be available at Rs 84,200 for the 256GB storage variant and Rs 94,700 for the 512GB variant instead of Rs 79,999 and Rs 89,999 respectively.

Going down the ladder, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite price has been increased to Rs 47,300 from Rs 44,999. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, which was launched earlier this year, will now sell at Rs 41,000. The handset, to recall, was launched at Rs 39,999 for the base variant in the country. The all-new Samsung Galaxy A71 will set you back to Rs 31,500 instead of Rs 29,999.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 is Rs 2,000 costlier than before. The handset price in India has been revised to Rs 41,999 from Rs 39,990. The Samsung Galaxy A50s, Galaxy A70s, and Galaxy A51 will be available at Rs 21,070, Rs 28,400, and Rs 25,250 respectively.

The popular Samsung Galaxy M30s and Samsung Galaxy M31, which were launched at Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,999, now cost Rs 14,749 and Rs 16,856 respectively. This is applicable only in the offline stores in India.
The Samsung Galaxy A10s now comes with a sticker price of Rs 9,480 instead of Rs 8,999, while the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core costs Rs 6,299, up from Rs 5,990.
