"Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Geekbench listing reveals key specifications like Snapdragon 855 SoC and 8GB RAM"
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is expected to be announced in less than two weeks alongside the Galaxy S20-series. Recent leaked renders have revealed the clamshell design in its full glory in a new purple colour finish. The foldable phone is expected to ship with last-year's Snapdragon 855 SoC and flaunt a 6.7-inch Flexible AMOLED panel. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmark database. It has managed to score 725 points in a single-core test and 2,610 in a multi-core test. The listing claims the Galaxy Z Flip will pack 8GB RAM and run on Android 10 OS with customised OneUI 2.0 skin.
Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will have a design similar to the Moto Razr (2019) and a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout to accommodate the selfie camera. The display is tipped to have HDR10+ support and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. There is a 1.06-inch secondary display at the back that might surface notifications and the time. The fingerprint sensor is present on the right spine along with volume rocker. The USB-C port and the speaker grille can be found on the bottom. Samsung will reportedly add a thin layer of glass for extra durability.
As for the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is expected to sport a 6.7-inch Flexible AMOLED display with HDR10+. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU, 8GB RAM and 256GB non-expandable storage. For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip would come with dual rear cameras consisting of a 12MP primary sensor and another 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, it will have a 10MP unit for selfies and video chats. The handset is rumoured to house two-part battery with a 3,300mAh capacity and 15W fast charging support, as well as 9W wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will reportedly cost $1,400 (about Rs 1 lakh) and will hit stores from February 14th.
