"Vivo S1 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB variant will still remain available to purchase in the country though"
Vivo S1 smartphone was launched back in August 2019 and it came in three variants — 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB storage. Now, 91mobiles has exclusively learned from retail sources that Vivo S1 6GB + 64GB model, which was selling at Rs 17,990 after a recent price cut, would be discontinued in India soon after it clears out the existing stock. This means only the Vivo S1 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB models would be on sale at Rs 16,990 ad Rs 18,990, respectively. The narrow price difference could be the reason for discontinuing the model.
The Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution and a Halo notch. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor coupled with Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU, up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie with FunTouch custom skin on top. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
In terms of optics, the Vivo S1 rocks triple rear cameras consisting of a 16-megapixel Sony IMX499 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 32MP snapper for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone port, and GPS with GLONASS. Lastly, a beefy 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support fuels the handset.
