“The Vivo V15 and Y17 are now available for Rs 19,990 and Rs 15,990 respectively”
Earlier in March, Vivo launched its latest V series handset, dubbed the V15 in India, for Rs 23,990. Soon after the launch, the handset received a price drop of Rs 2,000. Now, the company has permanently reduced the price of the Vivo V15 once again by Rs 2,000. In addition, the Vivo Y17, which landed in the country barely a month ago, has also received a price cut of Rs 2,000.
As per our retail sources, the Vivo V15 price in India in offline stores is Rs 19,990 now, down from the earlier price tag of Rs 21,990. As for the Vivo Y17, the smartphone is now being offered for Rs 15,990, as compared to Rs 17,990 earlier. Notably, the Vivo V15 has received a total price drop of Rs 4,000 since its launch at Rs 23,990. Both the Vivo V15 and Y17 are now available at the reduced pricing via major brick and mortar stores across the country. The price drop is yet to reflect on the e-commerce channels.
To recap the specifications, Vivo V15 features an all-screen design with a pop-up selfie camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display and is powered by a 2.1GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor. The handset comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In the imaging department, there’s a triple 12MP + 8MP + 5MP camera setup at the rear and a 32MP selfie sensor. A 4,000mAh battery with Dual-Engine fast charging support keeps the handset alive.
Talking about the Vivo Y17, the phone comes with a waterdrop notch above the screen and a fingerprint sensor that’s placed at the back. The handset has a slightly smaller 6.35-inch HD+ display, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, aided by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. At the rear, the device offers a triple camera setup comprising of 13MP, 8MP, and 2MP cameras. On the front, there’s a 20MP snapper for selfies. This one is fuelled by a beefier 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W Dual-Engine fast charging.
