Vivo recently launched its mid-range smartphone, the V15 Pro (review) in India. The company is now all set to launch the stripped-down variant of the smartphone, the Vivo V15 in the country as well. From industry sources, 91mobiles has exclusively learned that Vivo will be launching the V15 in India next week. The device was originally launched in Thailand earlier this week.

Vivo V15 price in India, availability
As per our sources, the Vivo V15 will be launched in India with at a competitive price tag of Rs 22,990. With the V15, the company will be taking on the likes of the recently launched OPPO F11 Pro. Further, the smartphone will be going on sale starting from March 15th. For the uninitiated, the V15 Pro was launched in the country with an effective price tag of Rs 28,990. Just like the Pro variant, we can expect the V15 to be available from both offline stores and e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon.in.
Vivo V15 Specifications
For the Vivo V15, the phonemaker has swapped the in-display fingerprint scanner for a rear-mounted one. Additionally, the Vivo V15 gets a bigger screen and battery with all other specs remaining unchanged. The device ships with a 6.53-inch 19.5:9 FHD+ Ultra FullView display protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Vivo claims that the new smartphone offers an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 91.64 percent. At the core, the Vivo V15 gets the Helio P70 SoC, backed by a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU driving the gaming performance. The handset comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
As for the cameras, the Vivo V15 sports a triple rear camera module, which comprises a 12MP f/1.78 sensor, along with 8MP f/2.2 and 5MP f/2.4 sensors. The 32MP f/2.0 pop-up camera of the Pro variant has also been retained. Lastly, the V15 boots FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by a beefy 4,000mAh battery with Dual Engine fast charging.
