Xiaomi 12 series is heading to markets outside of China. Here's a quick look at the smartphones' specifications
The Xiaomi 12 series will launch on March 15th globally, per the leaked poster shared by Android Planet. That said, it's not clear yet which models will be announced. The series so far includes three models, namely Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X; however, there are reports for Xiaomi 12 Mini and Xiaomi 12 Ulta models are under the work too.
While there is no word on the Xiaomi 12 series India launch yet, 91mobiles has exclusively reported that the Xiaomi 12X launch in the country as early as April.
Xiaomi 12 series global specifications are likely to be the same as the Chinese variants. This has been confirmed by the Geekbench listing. The vanilla Xiaomi 12 features a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. Xiaomi 12 packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
As for the cameras, Xiaomi 12 houses a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP telephoto sensor. It has a 32MP selfie shooter. The Xiaomi 12X shares similar specifications as the Xiaomi 12, the only difference being that the 12X has a Snapdragon 870 SoC.
Xiaomi 12 Pro, on the other hand, sports a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED 120Hz display. Under the hood, it draws power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with a 4,600mAh battery and a 120W fast charging support. Xiaomi 12 Pro packs up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The handset has 50MP triple cameras at the rear, including a primary, an ultrawide, and a telephoto sensor.
