“The Tecno phones offer Android Nougat, 4G and VoLTE support”
Chinese smartphone maker Tecno Mobile has entered the Indian market with the launch of five smartphones – the i3, i3 Pro, i5, i5 Pro and i7. The first four are budget smartphones, while the last is a high-end offering. All three Tecno Mobile smartphones come with Android Nougat out of the box, 4G, VoLTE (voice over LTE) and ViLTE (video over LTE) connectivity options.
The Tecno i3 features a 5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor, mated to 2GB of RAM. The phone offers 16GB of internal memory, an 8-megapixel camera at both the front and rear, and a 3,050mAh battery. The i3 Pro offers 3GB of RAM and a fingerprint sensor, while the rest of its specs are the same as the i3.
The Tecno i5 features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, and is fuelled by a MediaTek MT6737T processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 16GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front shooter, a fingerprint sensor and a 4,000mAh battery with Rocket fast charging support. The i5 Pro features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the rest of its specs are the same as the i5.
As for the Tecno i7, the phone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD LTPS display, and utilises a MediaTek MT6750 processor. The phone offers 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 16MP front shooter, a 13MP rear snapper and a 4,000mAh battery with Rocket fast charging support. The device also comes with a quad-LED flash at the rear and a single-LED flash and screen flash for the front camera.
Coming to the pricing, the Tecno i3 and i3 Pro have been priced at Rs 7,990 and Rs 9,990 respectively. The Tecno i5 and i5 Pro will go on sale for Rs 11,490 and Rs 12,990 respectively. The Tecno i7 will be available for Rs 14,990. The i3, i3 Pro, i5 and i5 Pro will initially go on sale via brick and mortar stores in Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The i7 will bee available from May. They come with a 100-day replacement warranty and one-time screen replacement warranty.
